Stability and Storage

BACKGROUND

Interleukin-1 beta (IL1 beta or IL1B) also known as catabolin, is   a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. In clinical, it has   been reported that Interleukin (IL)-1 may influence Th1 / Th2
  immune responsiveness and has been implicated in the establishment of a   successful pregnancy. IL1B initially discovered as the major   endogenous pyrogen, induces prostaglandin synthesis, neutrophil influx   and activation, T-cell activation and cytokine production, B-cell   activation and antibody production, and fibroblast proliferation and   collagen production.Interleukin (IL)-1B is a pro-inflammatory cytokine whose   expression in primary tumours has been identified as a potential   biomarker for predicting breast cancer patients at increased risk for   developing bone metastasis.

Active Recombinant Rat IL-1 beta Protein was   determined by SDS-PAGE with Coomassie Blue.

Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF-1 human erythroleukemic   cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.1-0.8 μg/mL.
